Optimus creates a Linux server in your name and hands you root. On Replit, even the dedicated Reserved VM stays inside the platform, and self-hosting is not documented.
Replit runs your app on Replit's cloud. Optimus gives you a dedicated Linux server of your own, with root access, and Claude works inside that machine. Replit's Reserved VM is dedicated too, but it still lives inside Replit; the Optimus server is yours, and you can take everything out.
