Optimus vs Replit, Lovable, Bolt.new, v0 and GitHub Codespaces

No tool is best at everything. If your case is in one of these lines, go with the competitor and don't look back.

Frequently asked questions

Is Optimus a code editor or a server?

Both. You get a dedicated Linux server and work on it through the browser, talking to the AI. The server keeps running when you close the tab.

Do I need to know how to code?

No. You describe what you want in plain language and watch the live preview. Knowing how to code helps, but it is not required to start.

Do I pay for the AI separately?

No. Every plan comes with a monthly AI quota. If it runs out, you wait for the monthly reset or switch on your own key.

Is the code I create mine?

It is yours. The server is yours and you can export everything whenever you want, without asking and without rewriting for another platform.

How is this different from Replit?

On Replit your project lives on Replit's infrastructure, with per-plan limits. On Optimus the machine is purchased in your name, with administrator access and no sleeping.

Is there a free trial?

No. The server is purchased from the infrastructure provider the moment you pay, and that cost is not refundable. We would rather say it up front than surprise you later.
